WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL WEBSITE OF BARANGAY MALIRE BARANGAY HISTORY Barangay Malire was created in the year 1960, the first settlement was the Manobo’s tribe led by Datu Malire founder of this Barangay. Datu Malire had the psychic power to predict what would be happened on his kingdom of followers by observing the flowing water of the river called as “AWIG TAMANDANGAN” if the water flowed red, this was bad omen that something would happen on his kingdom or on his tribe. It might happened that some of his followers were killed or captured by enemies. After his death, this place was baptized by his followers in honor to his name “MALIRE”. He was succeeded by his three Sons Datu Karamin, Datu Kalilan, and Datu Dumacon. Datu Dumacon was followed by Datu SAMUEL MAMPO, whose regime ended in 1969 for he was shotdown by the ILAGA’S group. His first council man PEDRO BADOY took his place as a Barangay Captain, but it is did not last long. In the Year 1972 PATERNO SOTOMIL elected as Barangay Captain. His regime ended in 1972 because he was killed by the NPA’s through hand grainage, while he was sleep together with his beloved wife at their house, During his time the Barangay residence enjoyed because of his good leadership. Luis Suarnaba won as Barangay captain during the 1985 election. He encountered many crises during his time, he was attempt to be killed if he did not follow the rules/programs of the NPA’s, because of his belief he lapse all the trials in his leadership. In 1986 local election Pedro Verayo won Barangay Captain. He continues imposing the different project for the development of the Barangay. Through the help of the Municipal, Provincial and Government Agency, all the projects being implemented was push through or it is imposed successfully. They have already a Barangay Health Center in which this is the most important to the Barangay and constituents for the continuous health services, as well as Barangay Hall, Market Building, Stage for SK Project and they have Day Care Center in which this is the most important to the Pre-School Children for the first steps of their learning system. To give all the important needs of the Barangay constituents. He deserved to give all important needs of the Barangay peoples. He ended his regime during the year 1996. In the 1997 Local Election Joel Jaena won as Barangay Captain, Erlinda Tayo won as first Kagawad a former barangay secretary for 11 years in service, 2nd Kgd. Moses Tubal, Committee on Infrastracture, Kgd. Florentino Galon, Committee for peace and Order, Kgd. Romeo Gayosa, Committee on Education, Kgd. Rustico Suarnaba , Committee for Agriculture, Kgd. Rodolfo Tungcua, Committee on Health, Kgd. Leonie Depuyart, Committee for sectoral group and Rolan Suarnaba as SK Chairman Committee on Sports, Mrs. Terisita S. Piornato as appointed Brgy. Treasurer and Miss Joan Calantas as appointed as brgy. Sec. the Barangay Captain Joel Jaena give assurance for the different projects for the development of the baranagy through Barangay IRA we bought or buy a school site area for high school from first year to fourth year for this moment. We have already two permanent teacher and two provincial and Municipal paid teacher under the SEF Fund and one PTA paid teacher. Eventhough they are a volunteer teacher but they devoted and dedicated to their works or job in order to give a continues education and knowledge to the learners to the students. All the concern committee and sectoral groups are working hand and hand for the development and good implementation of the differerent projects/programs in our community. We dream to reach the better living through the continuous support for local, Provincial and National Gov’t especially for our economy. |
